iBio English Transcripts to Begin

Viewers from 125 countries have watched iBioSeminars. To make these seminars more accessible to non-native English speakers, we hope to provide English transcripts and eventually English subtitles. Many of the lectures will be subtitled in Spanish as well. To date, several individuals have started this effort on their own. Cynthia Jensen (ASCB International Affairs Committee, U. Auckland Australia) harnessed local resources to make an English transcript of David Baltimore's lecture, the National Center for the Biological Sciences (Bangalore, India) prepared a pilot transcript of Ron Vale's lecture, and Jeremy Nathans prepared transcripts of all of his lectures. Also, Abel Alcazar-Roman (Yale University) and Sebastian Bernales (Chile) have made Spanish subtitles of a couple of lectures (not yet posted). These are wonderful examples of grass roots efforts from the world-wide scientific community aimed at helping iBioSeminars . In the coming year, we will work to consolidate these efforts to provide more transcripts and subtitles (NCBS is helping with this effort).

Stay tuned to this page for updates on our progress on the transcripts and translations.
